Two days ago we went camping! A day before we left to go camping, we were cleaning and getting everything ready like tents, mattresses, our van, and packing clothes up.
We had to leave Sunday morning at 8:00. We wanted to attend the church in Chester that started at 10:00. We were camping near Chester on the shore of Lake Almanor.
Simeon was going to be in the church in Chester the following Sunday because they had a choir camp. After church, we left Simeon there. His friends were also there because they were there for the choir camp too. The choir camp is a week long. We are only going camping for two nights and three days.
After we go camping, we go back home, and then on Sunday, we go back up to watch the choir thing, and then after that, we will go back home again.
So after we dropped Simeon off, we headed to the campsite.
The campsite was pretty big! There was a lake there! We brought our swimsuits. And Noelle and Cameron came and were only going to stay for one night instead of two like us. They came at lunchtime. They were going to come at night and have dinner with us, but instead, they came at lunchtime! We hung out and swam in the lake, and some random people came over to us and said, " Do you guys want to jump on our water trampoline? We won't be using it right now, so you guys can come whenever". We said sure yeah! thank you! So Cameron and Sophie and I went in the water and swam to the water trampoline and bounced on it and had a great time! Afterward, we ate some food and relaxed.
We relaxed for a long time, and then Noelle said," let's go to a store and get some candy! ". So Cameron Noelle, Ezra Sophie, and I all went to the store and got some snacks! We ate a lot on the way back.
When it was starting to get dark, we got the fire going! We ate dinner, which was hamburgers. After we ate, we brought out the marshmallows and Gram Crackers and, of course, the chocolate! My dad told stories, and after, we went to bed.
The next day we had cereal for breakfast and hot chocolate. We lit the fire and put water in a pot and put it over the fire so to get the water boiling for coffee and hot chocolate.
We got dressed and then headed over to the lake. There were rocks of clay everywhere around the lake. So we got the softest rock of clay and crushed it over a bucket and poured a little bit of water in it and mixed it up. At first, we put too much water and poured out some. But still, it was a little bit watery. Then we put more rocks of clay and crushed them into it. It was thicker now. Noelle and I were mixing it with our hands. So it was a crazy mess! We put some on our mom's feet. She said she thinks after it dries and after you rinse it all off that your feet will be smooth a little bit. So we put some on her feet. She just kept it like that and did not rinse it off right away. :) After that, Noelle and Cameron left to go back home.

We rested for a little bit, and then my mom said, "Let's go to the coffee shop! ". So we went to the coffee shop! I forgot what I had. but all I knew it was icy cold, and it was a coffee! :) Sophie had a Cherry cream soda. After that! We went to thrift stores! I got a new bathing suit and a hat, and Sophie got a book that had magnet dogs and a stuffed animal that was a whale. I think my mom got new shirts, I can't remember. Ezra and my dad stayed outside. Outside there were a lot of free books that people could just take. My dad got this horse book for Noelle and me and a couple of other books. And Ezra just stayed in the car.
After shopping, we went back to the campsite. By then, it was already getting dark so we had hamburgers again. Then we brought out the smores! And my dad told stories! We had a great time!

In the morning, we had cereal and hot chocolate again. :)
We left at 8:00 to go see a prayer meeting at the church, and then after that, we went back home.
I would love to go camping again!!
