Coyote Peterson said Black Rat Snakes are not venomous. He also said Black Rat Snakes also have teeth but their teeth are very small and they won't necessarily hurt you but they do use them to garb prey and they also actually constrict their prey because they have no venom.
Black Rat Snakes eat, mice, rats, and small mammals. And they will go up in trees and rob birds' nests of baby birds or unhatched eggs. Coyote Peterson also said Black Rat Snakes are very good climbers. He also said Black Rat Snakes are one of the largest snake species in the United States. And they can grow to about eight feet in length. And when the snake is a baby it's called neonate, their grey with a little bit of pattering. He said it's a little hard to identify when their baby's. He also said while they may be called Black Rat Snake. But it's actually not completely black. He said while they can be a very dark shade but sometimes they have a very light belly. Coyote Peterson said the Black Rat Snake is very camouflaged in the grass.
I wish I had a Black Rat Snake it would awesome to have one.
