France Trip!

My family and I just got back from our trip to France. We spent two weeks with our grandparents. Sophie, Dad, Mom, and I all went. Ezra stayed back to take care of the business and my dog, Ria.Ā

My mom joined us the second week in France because she had her mom's birthday party to go to in Florida.Ā

We took three plane rides to get there. Sacermento to Colorado. Colorado to Germany. And Germany to France. All of which took about seventeen hours. Yeah, it was long.Ā

We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and had a delicious dinner with my grandparents. My grandma made such good food while we were there. 😊 After dinner, we rested and hung out. We eventually went to bed, and I woke up and realized what the time was. We had slept until 12 PM. I guess that's what you call jet lag.

In France, they are nine hours ahead of us in California. So whenever I text Ezra or something, I have to consider what time it is for him. Because if it's 1 PM for us in France, it would be 4 AM for Ezra.Ā

In France, everybody has shutters for their windows. It's to keep the houses cool. Our grandparents have them, and one time, I thought they had the AC on, but they don't have AC in the house. It's just naturally cool. And it got to almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside, but it was nice and cool inside.Ā

They also have a super nice pool! My grandpa makes sure it's always nice and clean and ready to be swam in. It's seriously crystal clear. Sophie swam in the pool almost every day while we were there. Here's a vid and a pic of it:

I noticed there are lots of stone walls in France. I never saw any wooden fences. Just stone and sometimes gates. And also, of course, lots of small cars. Barely saw any pickup trucks. Did see lots of Teslas, though, which was surprising. I would be so surprised if they have the Cybertrucks soon.Ā

My dad, Sophie, and I got to visit lots of different places. We went to various coffee shops and little stores. It was a lot of fun. Here are pics:

I have many, many more videos and pictures. 😊

I did get sick after five days of being there, and I am still sick, actually, while I write this. Just been coughing a lot and feel a lot better compared to when I was there. Don't exactly know what type of sickness it is. It wasn't bad going home on the plane. Just felt long.Ā

We picked up my mom a week later from the airport on a Wednesday, and we all had lunch together. She was extremely tired and rested a lot. Later, we went to the pool and hung out. We went to lots of different places with her, too. I didn't go out with them much because I wasn't feeling well. Here are more pics and vids:

Now I wish I could have seen some of the sights and scenes you got to see!
Hey Garza girls, are you coming to choir tomorrow? 😊 Sophie and I are! Hope to see you guys there!! - Jo
Hi Joey! I'm so glad you and Sophie had so much fun! France looks like it was beautiful! Unfortunately, the girls and I aren't doing choir this semester. We are going into a busy school year, and our mom is dealing with the health stuff so it's hard for her to take us to choir. But! We are going to try to make it to the performance
Oh no!! šŸ˜” I’m really going to miss you guys! 😢 I really hope you can make it to the performance. We also need to hang out sometime! - Jo
Joey, Turns out, our mom just signed us up for choir! Though we might miss the first few weeks.
REALLY!?? YESSSSSSS!!! I'm so happy right now!!😁😁 All three of you are doing it right? - Joey
Yep! All three of us are wanting to try out for chamber. Are you going to?
Joey! Did Mrs. Harris go to Paris? Sry I had to say it!
Hey! Yeah, I auditioned for it. And no, Abby, she didn't go to Paris. Mrs. Harris went to Marsielle. 😁 - Joey
Too bad it doesn't rhyme.
Will you guys be at choir today?
